Where the intent is to make the proxy "invisible" to both the end user
and the origin server (unless they actually do care to make a closer
investigation). This includes masquerading with the clients address, but
also how the requests are forwarded with respect to headers and protocol
version. 100% percent transparency is neither realistic or wanted.
