I think Henrik has come up with some useful definitions to start from,
although there's still a fundamental difference in what different
people perceive by the words "transparent proxy".
Henrik's definition of "transparent proxy" is very similar to my own
(though you'd probably already guessed that). However, I'm aware that
the community may have a different, less general, definition.
In my previous message I was trying to find out whether the general
understanding of "transparent proxy" refers to a specific way in which
traffic is intercepted (i.e. intercepting network element) or whether
it is understood as a more general term. I'm still not sure exactly
what the general opinion is...
