The scope of WREC today is to document current practice. Period. It is not
to standardize them, merely to note and document them. As a part of this it
has been useful to encourage vendors to submit their, in some cases
previously unavailable work, as IDs for this purpose. What happens to them
in the *formal* standards process is not directly the concern of WREC.
