Josh,
I'm not going to argue with wrec about wpad right now because wpad
is not within wrec's current charter. One of the reasons for the
restricted charter is to keep wrec (and the AD) from getting
prematurely bogged down in such issues. (I'd rather wait until
the appropriate time to get bogged down...)
I suspect that the various technical problems with wpad are actually
fixable, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
